There are certain rules about the types of information that can be placed on a coffee label. Some of this information is mandatory, and some can be placed only if certain conditions are met. Accurate information on your product packaging is a must, because labels should in no way confuse or mislead the consumer.
Most of us, from time to time, dream about escaping the rat race, packing it all up and starting fresh. A lot of coffee roasters will tell you that their years spent in a daily nine to five routine were simply a stepping stone to establish their own roastery.
Watch this brilliant video by the North-West University featuring Genio’s owner & Puk Alumni student, Neil Maree, discussing the rise of Genio’s coffee roaster manufacturing in South Africa. The clip also features Francois Vorster, owner of Decadent & Common Ground Coffees, a big fan of our roasting equipment.
One of the biggest advancements in modern roasting techniques is that of roasting times. I am particularly referring to a recent Cropster article showcasing some of the winning roast profiles of the 2015 World Coffee Roasting Competition (WCRC) held in Gotenburg, Sweden.
“The Genio roaster is so sturdy and well designed. It is simple to use and gives consistent results every time we use it. The support and encouragement from Neil and his team add to the great Genio experience. Having a roaster that was manufactured on our doorstep was a big motivating factor for us…” Linda & Keith Roberts, Owners at Roberts Roastery
“My Genio Mezzo coffee roaster operates like a military fighter jet, remarkable performance, amazing control and handling characteristics, maneuverable, user-friendly with state of the art technology, but still a hands on machine, offering you the ability to sense what is happening with the coffee.”
